Mimi’s 5th Birthday

Mimi saw a Barbie cake online that she just had to have for her birthday! Her mom forwarded me the picture and I created a similar cake, but with more purple, blue, and pink colors. The cake was a two-tier strawberry cake with buttercream icing, and homemade fondant decorations. Happy 5th Birthday Mimi!

Ben’s 4th Birthday

Ben wanted the Octonauts designed in cake pop form for his 4th birthday. I had never heard of the Octonauts, so I did a little research online to understand more about these characters. I created the bear, penguin, and pirate cat for the party, and Ben’s mom made a really fun display to hold the cake pops. Happy Birthday buddy!

Bryn’s 3rd Birthday

My sweet niece, Bryn, turned 3 and she had a bee themed party. I created cake pops in the shape of bumble bees, using modeling chocolate for the stripes and faces. I also made bee hive cookies which were iced with yellow colored royal icing, sprinkled with yellow edible glitter, and finished with 3 chocolate flying bees on each.

Denise & Bryan’s Wedding

Denise and Bryan were married at the lovely Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop. I created a three tiered square cake consisting of two tiers of chocolate cake filled with buttercream icing, and one tier with vanilla cake and fresh strawberry filling. All tiers were iced in vanilla buttercream. Fresh seasonal flowers were used as decoration, along with royal blue ribbon to match the bride’s colors. Denise also wanted me to create Chicago Bears cake balls as a surprise for her father’s birthday. The beautiful photos of the cake are courtesy of Sarah Q Photography.
