Velveteen Rabbit Baby Shower

My friend Susan was helping to host a Velveteen Rabbit Baby Shower, and she wanted me to created cake balls in a variety of pastel colors to match the invitation. I added in a soft white chocolate drizzle as well as candy pearls to dress them up a bit.

Ethan’s 1st Birthday

Ethan’s 1st birthday theme was owls. I created a smash cake and vanilla cupcakes topped with owls made out of fondant and white modeling chocolate. This was my first time to try working with modeling chocolate, and I loved the results! Happy Birthday Ethan!

Colin’s 4th Birthday

Colin celebrated his 4th birthday at the Dart Bowl, so I created cake pops that looked like bowling balls and pins for the event. Happy Birthday Colin! I heard you had a great time at your party!

Baking Class

Katie B’s hosted their first baking class to celebrate a baby shower. On the menu was chocolate barks: peppermint, sea salt and smoky almond, and peanut butter; dark chocolate truffles with various toppings; and milk chocolate fudge.

Landry’s Sip and See

We celebrated the arrival of Baby Landry with a sailing themed sip and see, so all of his parents’ friends could meet the sweet little boy! I created red velvet cake pops dipped in white and navy white chocolate, decorated with coordinating sailboats hand drawn in royal icing. The sticks were tied with raffia.

Paula’s Baby Shower

Paula wanted a vanilla cake with raspberry filling iced in vanilla buttercream for her baby shower. I matched the jungle themed invitation, creating a monkey, lion, vines, and leaves from homemade fondant to top the cake.

Ginger’s 4th Birthday

Ginger’s party had a Sleeping Beauty theme, so I wanted to make cake pops that were glittery & sparkly, and just plain girly! I made chocolate and vanilla cake pops dipped in hot pink and purple white chocolate, decorated with purple sugar crystals and hot pink disco dust. For the birthday girl, on four of the pops I added a ‘4’, ‘G’, and two crowns, all decorated with the hot pink glitter.

Peyton’s 1st Birthday

Peyton turned 1 and the theme for her birthday was elephants. I created vanilla cake pops dipped in light green white chocolate, with royal icing elephants attached. I also made a smash cake for the birthday girl with cookie letters, and elephant shaped cookies, also decorated with royal icing for the party favor.
